What happens to existing videos with Epidemic Sound music after leaving an MCN?
All videos published during the term of your MCN agreement with Epidemic Sound remain cleared to monetize permanently. After the agreement ends, new uploads using Epidemic Sound music are not permitted unless you have an active subscription or license. If music is used without a valid license, Epidemic Sound reserves the right to monetize those videos to recoup usage rights.
Why was a Content ID claim received while being part of an MCN?
A claim may appear if the channel isn't correctly linked to the MCN in Epidemic Sound’s system. To resolve this, log in via your MCN’s dashboard or this link, selecting your MCN from the dropdown menu. If access is unavailable, contact your MCN partner manager to ensure your channel is properly connected. Once linked, long-form video claims can be disputed and will be retracted upon verification.
Note: Content ID claims on YouTube Shorts are unaffected by MCN status and don't impact reach, monetization or visibility. Where a Short has a product link, the claim disables product tagging, we release those claims regardless of MCN arrangement. You can dispute the claim and mention “Product link” in the dispute note. See Understanding YouTube Shorts & Copyright Claims for detail.
